Our Mission

GLOW Coalition is a grassroots 501(c)(4) based in Newport Beach, working to protect the natural beauty, neighborhood character, and community voice that define our city.

We believe nature, community, and the spaces that connect us deserve protection - especially in a time when developers seem to have the ear of City Hall, and everyday residents are too often ignored. If we don’t act now, the Newport we love will be paved over, piece by piece.

GLOW was founded to change that. We’re here to:

• Mobilize public pressure

• Organize neighbors around shared values

• Engage in policy and land use decisions

• Hold local leadership accountable to the people- not developers

As a 501(c)(4), we can do what traditional nonprofits can’t. We advocate boldly. We speak truth to power. And we fight to ensure decisions about our city reflect the will of its residents - not just the interests of those who build and profit.

At its core, GLOW is about legacy. It’s about lighting a path forward - where families, nature, and neighborhoods are valued more than concrete and contracts.

We’re building a future led by local voices. A city that listens to its people. A Newport Beach worth passing on.
